Automotive tinting and flat-glass tinting are handled differently.
Niagara Tinting is an owner-operated business. Joedy answers the enquiries, discusses the work and performs the installations himself.
Automotive Tinting
Automotive appointments are generally arranged by telephone. If Joedy can answer when you call, the vehicle and possible appointment can usually be discussed immediately.
If the telephone is not answered, please leave a clear message with your name and telephone number. Joedy may be working on a vehicle or away performing another installation, so there can sometimes be a delay before the call is returned.
Information to Provide
- The vehicle year, make and model
- Whether it is a sedan, coupe, convertible, hardtop or another unusual body style when that affects the glass
- The windows you want tinted
- Whether aftermarket tint is already installed on any of those windows
Email can be used when photographs or written details make an unusual automotive project easier to understand. However, an automotive appointment cannot normally be completed by email. Please include a telephone number so Joedy can call you back.
Flat-Glass Tinting
Flat glass is the window-film industry term for residential, commercial and industrial building windows. The same basic information is required for all of these projects.
Email is the preferred method for flat-glass enquiries. It allows Joedy to review the measurements and photographs, understand the complete project and reply with any additional questions.
Information to Provide
- The width and height of each individual pane of glass to be tinted
- The quantity when several panes are the same size
- A few photographs showing the general window area as though Joedy were standing at the job site
- Anything important about access, such as skylights, high windows, stairwells or ladder requirements
- The project address and a telephone number
- The main concern: glare, heat, privacy, appearance, security, UV exposure or another objective
The photographs do not need to show fine details of every piece of furniture, blind or curtain. Their purpose is to provide a useful overall view of the windows, their height, their location and the surrounding working area.
Residential, commercial and industrial customers are also welcome to telephone or visit the shop. Email is simply the most efficient method when measurements, photographs and several project details need to be considered together.

Visitors are welcome during regular business hours. If Joedy is at the shop, a customer standing in the office receives immediate attention.
Because Niagara Tinting is owner-operated and has no other employees remaining at the shop, Joedy may occasionally be away performing an installation or completing an errand. Calling first is recommended when you need to confirm that he will be there.
Parking and Arrival
- Automotive customers normally park at the front and enter through the front door.
- Additional parking is available at the rear if required.
- Early or night-before vehicle drop-off is available only when arranged in advance.
- Use the front mail slot for keys only when specifically instructed.

Film samples and a small display window are available at the shop. Take-home samples may also be available so customers can view them against their own glass under different daytime and nighttime lighting conditions.
Working Schedule
Regular hours are Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Niagara Tinting is closed Mondays and weekends.
After nearly 40 years of tinting, Joedy has deliberately shortened the work week to allow more personal time. Niagara Tinting is not announcing retirement, but customers should allow for seasonal booking times.
